Comparative Politics sounds intriguing, care to share some information about its core concepts?

Oh, sorry. It's a basic overview of all of the main different political systems of the world. We all had to do a powerpoint of a country in our book, I got assigned Nigeria. Our presentations are the second half of the semester.

You got lucky. Nigeria is actually a really awesome case study into the roles ethnic diversity and compartmentalization play in the development of a country and its government. I took CompPoli as an upper level course and did not enjoy it very much because my professor didn't like that I didn't agree with him all of the time. Sounds like your class will probably be a bit more interesting.

Thanks, does seem quite interesting if it's on a global scale. From what i read about 7th grade social studies, it doesn't seem to extend outside of the USA, fitting the stereotype that most Americans don't know there's a whole world outside of the USA. And indeed large areas (politically) between and either side of American 'freedom' and North Korea totalitarianism.
Although i'd imagine analyzing the politics as written in law is not necessarily representative of the real political culture, as I discovered during my tenure in the Caribbean and from my observations of US political culture.

I haven't learned anything that I don't already know yet.

It's a low level course, and the presentations involved us summarizing the chapter paragraph by paragraph, Nigeria was depressing as shit.
